Welcome to the Woodturners of the Virginias
Mt. Jackson, VA

The Woodturners of the Virginias is an organization of men and women, young and old, who enjoy and practice the age-old art and craft of turning wood.  Our members live as far away as Front Royal in the north of the Shenandoah Valley to Waynesboro in the south to the wilds of West Virginia in the west.

Our mission is to educate woodturners and the public about the methods and techniques of using the lathe to transform rough pieces of wood into both utilitarian as well as artistic shapes.

Please take a minute and browse our photo gallery and our website.  Then, join us at one of our monthly meetings to meet fellow woodturners, join in friendly conversation and watch woodturning demonstrations to improve your skills as a woodturner.

WoVA is a member of the American Association of Woodturners
